Common issues
The camera or map does not start
Open iOS Settings and confirm Camera and Location access for Skyfence. Return to the app and start a new capture. The status message should explain whether permission, AR tracking, depth, or location is unavailable.
Parts of the horizon are missing
Missing sectors are not silently filled. Follow the weakest-bearing guidance and make a slower pass through those bearings. Reflective surfaces, blank sky, severe backlight, and rapid movement can reduce confidence.
A wall, branch, or pole looks wrong
Recapture the sector from the same observing position. If automatic evidence remains wrong, apply a manual sector correction and include that fact in the field note.
Capture pauses when the phone is hot
Skyfence reduces or pauses expensive mesh and Vision work under serious thermal pressure. The survey and thermal transitions remain available in diagnostics. Let the device cool before continuing if capture quality is affected.
Export diagnostics
Open Export, add a note describing the site and problem, then share either the full survey package or standalone diagnostics JSON. Include the iPhone model, iOS version, approximate lighting/weather, and what you expected to see.
