Summary
Skyfence is an on-device visual horizon survey and astronomy planning app. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, third-party telemetry, account system, remote configuration, or developer-operated cloud storage.
Camera, LiDAR, motion, and location
With your permission, Skyfence uses the camera, ARKit tracking, device motion, location, scene depth, and mesh geometry to estimate the surrounding horizon and nearby obstructions. These observations are processed locally. The app does not transmit camera frames, depth maps, meshes, coordinates, or motion data to the developer.
Local surveys and diagnostics
Skyfence autosaves the current survey on the device so capture can recover after interruption. Saved content can include site coordinates, field notes, horizon evidence, obstacle geometry, point-cloud samples, manual corrections, sensor quality, thermal observations, Vision timing, and bounded diagnostic events.
This data follows normal iOS storage, backup, migration, and device-security behaviour. Starting a new survey or clearing a survey removes the app's active saved survey.
User-initiated exports
Skyfence exports data only when you choose Export or Share. The destination you select—such as Files, AirDrop, Mail, Messages, or another app—receives the exported content and applies its own privacy practices. Review site coordinates, notes, geometry, and diagnostics before sharing.
